State Compensation Insurance Fund

In an ongoing effort to promote jobsite safety throughout the California, CalGeo has partnered with the State Compensation Insurance Fund on the Safety First! program to provide our members and group participants with workers compensation insurance cost savings, and provide relevant information regarding safety issues. State Fund's new phone number of 888-STATEFUND (888-782-8338) will provide direct routing to the servicing department needed. Safety First! does not include membership in CalGeo, but it does allow eligible State Compensation Insurance Fund policy holders to receive premium discounts and benefits not available to the individual policy holder. For CalGeo members, these savings alone can often offset the cost of CalGeo membership.

About the Program:

• Participants do not need to be a member of CalGeo to join our group program. State Fund can likely place you in our group as long as you fit in the 4511 (labs) or the 8601 (engineering) categories. Check with your broker or State Fund rep to determine your eligibility. You can also call our group rep, Patty Amaya at (323) 327-5773, to help you determine eligibility.
• Participants receive CalGeo's monthly electronic newsletter, the e.Geo, which contains safety information and articles pertinent to the professional, legislative and business interests of its members.
• Safety First! group members may attend CalGeo's annual loss prevention seminars at no cost.
• As a group member, you will save approximately 6 percent on your annual premium costs.

CalGeo charges an administration fee of $100, billed annually on your renewal date. Please note that CalGeo members do not pay this annual administration fee.
